UCF Verification
Verification is a method used by the U.S. Department of Education to check the accuracy of the information submitted on the FAFSA. Students selected for verification are required to submit additional documentation before receiving a disbursement. At First Stop, we can help students navigate verification and the additional documents required. Click Learn More to request assistance from First Stop.
UCF Scholarships
There are many ways to pay for your education. In addition to loans and paying out of pocket, you can use Florida Bright Futures, private scholarships, or institutional scholarships. We encourage all UCF students to apply for scholarships using our Access 2 Opportunities portal. Contact First Stop with any questions.
UCF Financial Aid Disbursement
Financial aid disbursement begins the week after Drop/Swap and Add, the second week of the semester, and continues each Tuesday and Thursday throughout the semester. Students are encouraged to check their myUCF portal frequently to ensure they have submitted all of the required documentation to Financial Aid so that their disbursement will not be delayed. First Stop staff can assist students who have questions about when their aid is expected to be disbursed. Click Learn More to request assistance from First Stop.
UCF Funds for Textbooks
Because financial aid disbursement does not start until the second week of classes, UCF has two programs to assist students with purchasing their textbooks. The Short Term Advance and the Textbook Purchase Program. Students may select only one of these programs to use each semester and we encourage students to decide which program they would like to use before the semester starts. Contact First Stop with any questions.
