Student Engagement is the umbrella over all downtown campus Registered Student Organizations (RSO). Students can become a part of an organization that meets their interest, hobbies and career paths.

FAQs

Q: How do I create an RSO?

A: Visit the Student Engagement Office to speak with the Registered Student Organization Relations Coordinator or one of the Student Engagement Department Coordinators to discuss how to apply and review what you need to complete the application packet.

 

Q: How many members do I need to start an RSO?

A: You will need at least 10 members who are current students.

 

Q: How do I get funding for my RSO?

A: Funding for your organization will vary based on your institution. UCF organizations can petition funding from Student Government. Valencia College organizations can petition funding from the Valencia College Student Engagement Department Coordinator.

 

Q: Are there any resources RSOs have on the downtown campus?

A: Downtown Campus RSOs have access to storage lockers in the Student Success and Engagement Lobby, use of several meeting and event spaces in UnionWest as well as trainings and special events hosted by Student Engagement.

 

Q: How do I find/join an RSO on campus?

A: If you would like to find an organization that best fits your interest, visit the Student Engagement office to speak with the Downtown Student Life, Student Organization Relations Coordinator who can help you find one.
